Pailwaan (transl. Wrestler) is a 2019 Indian Kannada-language sports action film[3] written and directed by S. Krishna. The film is produced by Swapna Krishna under the banner RRR Motion Pictures and bankrolled by Zee Studios. It stars Sudeep, Sunil Shetty and Aakanksha Singh. Pailwan marks Sunil Shetty's debut in Kannada cinema.[4] The score and soundtrack of the film was composed by Arjun Janya.[5][6][7][8] The film follows the journey of an orphan who goes on to become a wrestler and a boxer while getting into brawls with those who disrupt his personal life.
Initially the film team planned to release it in nine languages,[9] but later it settled for five languages, due to the Hindi language theatrical release.[10] The film released on 12 September 2019, while the Hindi version opened a day later, on 13 September.

Pailwaan (2019) Movie Plot :
Kichcha (Sudeep) is an orphan. Sarkar (Suniel Shetty), a village chieftain, takes Kichcha into his shelter and nourishes him like a father. As the bond between the duo grows stronger, Kichcha learns about Sarkar's dream of winning a boxing championship and pledges to fulfil it. Meanwhile, he falls in love with a businessman's daughter, Rukmini (Aakanksha Singh). Both get married in due time.
Rukmini's father upset with this, seeks Sarkar's help and the latter promises that Kichcha will stay away from Rukmini thereon. But Kichcha fails to keep the promise of Sarkar and eventually leaves the village with his wife, Kichcha settles in a different village and undergoes a series of new problems. Will Kichcha reunite with Sarkar? Will he fulfil Sarkar's dream? That forms the rest of the plot.

Krishna, portrayed by Sudeep, is an orphan, but wrestling gymkhana owner Sarkar, brings him up as his own son. Fondly called Kichcha, the youngster grows up to be a fierce wrestler, but a conflict arises when he decides to pursue love. Will his passion for wrestling have to suffer in the face of love?
With wrestling as the backdrop, Pailwan tells a father-son story. The story of Lord Krishna is used as a motif throughout the film, which tells about a son’s attempts, despite all the odds, to keep his word to his father. While the fight sequences are obviously blend into the story nicely, and is well-choreographed, the love story too is nicely woven in.
In fact, the three hour-long Pailwaan – a tad too long, particularly dragging in the first half – is an entertainer with all the needed masala elements, with comedy, romance, fights and emotions. The movie is Sudeep’s vehicle through and through, and the work he has put into his new lean, muscular physique shows to his advantage. It is good to see Suniel Shetty return in good form, as the father. The antagonists played by Sushant Singh and Kabir Duhan Singh are competent. Aakanksha Singh brings the breezy romance element to the film. Arjun Janya's soundtrack works very well for the film, which families are sure to find entertaining.
